Concurrent with Mexico’s bicentennial independence celebrations taking place this September, NBC’s Great Gateways hosted by Dave Mulligan will take a family to Puerto Vallarta and Cancun in its TV episode airing this September 1, 2010.

The visit to Puerto Vallarta will include a trip to San Sebastian del Oeste atop burros to visit the Sierra Madre, reminiscent of the famed John Huston film The Treasure of the Sierra Madre starring, his father Walter Houston.
